LEED Gold
The NEYA Porto Hotel was the first hotel in Portugal to receive the LEED Gold certification for the excellence of its construction, designed from the ground up to create an efficient building with reduced resource consumption.
The LEED certification, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, developed and awarded by the non-governmental organization United States Green Building Council, is a globally recognized symbol of excellence in green building. This certification ensures cost savings on electricity, reduced carbon emissions, and healthier environments. It also seeks to promote best practices in construction, reducing the environmental footprint of buildings throughout their life cycle.

Green Key
The NEYA Porto Hotel was recognized with this award in 2021. The Green Key is an international distinction that promotes Sustainable Tourism in Portugal by recognizing tourist establishments, local accommodations, campsites, and restaurants that implement good environmental and social practices, enhance environmental management in their establishments, and promote Environmental Education for Sustainability.
Establishments awarded this certification must meet specific requirements, such as having an environmental management system aimed at reducing energy and water consumption, proper waste separation, using environmentally friendly cleaning products, and prioritizing organic and locally sourced products. The Green Key is a seal of trust, indicating to consumers that by choosing one of these establishments, they are helping the planet.

Carbono Zero
The Carbon Neutral certification was awarded to the NEYA Porto Hotel by Sociedade Ponto Verde in 2021 for being a carbon-neutral hotel, contributing to the mitigation of global warming and climate change.
Selo We Care
The NEYA Porto Hotel was awarded the Social Responsibility Seal – We Share – by the Associação de Hotelaria de Portugal, through its Corporate Social Responsibility Program – HOSPES, in recognition of its best practices in social responsibility.
